Lilian looked up from her book, when she heard the knocking and her sister’s voice. She quickly put her book away and hid the large plate of chocolate. Then she ran to the door and opened it. “Idy, hey what, uh…what are you doing here?” She asked and giggled sheepishly, hoping that she wasn’t caught eating chocolate again.
Idun wrung her hands together, too preoccupied to notice her twin’s bad habit with chocolate. “Can I…come in?” she asked quietly, wondering just how to tell her. No doubt she wouldn’t have been as eloquent as Mama had been when she’d told her. But she could try. “I have something to tell you.”
