Glancing amusedly over at the exchange between those two, the King had taken initiative to call over one of the butlers and have them fetch the dessert.
How strange that something which had concerned them in the beginning had become so inconsequential to their lives, even becoming a source of amusement and fun. While there were still worries about those who wouldn’t accept his little girl and her abilities, he could put those thoughts aside often enough. Now was certainly one of those times.
With no more snow appearing now, Idun finished wiping up her daughter’s face, the little thing being compliant for the rest of the task. Once it was done, she gave one chubby cheek a little pinch, earning herself a squeal of giggles.
“Look, Elsa, here’s your dessert,” she said softly as the plates were put before them. The toddler looked absolutely delighted, her whole face lighting up.
“I suppose it’s the simple things at this age,” she commented to her husband as she watched her child dig in, no doubt about to mess her face up again.
