He stopped with her, looking down to that small creature—his daughter, he could barely believe it—in her arms. And he saw those eyes, those beautiful blue eyes that he had just started to get to know. He had only seen them a handful of times.

"Hello, little one," he spoke, so quietly, so gently. He took one of his hands, far too large for her, he thought, and softly stroked the tiny head. Oh, how fragile she seemed.

The Queen smiled, watching her husband with their child. Elsa was still young to truly smile, but there something in the baby’s eyes that implied that had she been able, a large grin would have been on her face. She began to wriggle in Idun’s grasp. Shifting her child in her arms, she bounced her gently. 

“Hush, hush now,” she murmured. “I have a feeling I know what she wants now,” she continued, a sly grin on her face as she briskly started for their bedroom.
